Makes you wonder where they got "green" in the name of this bird.
Funny thing-- in flight, it really does look quite green against a blue sky, but on land or against a dark background it's much less obvious.
Similarly, the Great Blue Heron doesn't look all that blue in some light, but when its wings are outstretched, it looks very blue. Go figure.
